The East Devon Conservative Association unanimously adopted Sir Hugo Swire selected as the Conservative candidate for the 2017 General Election on Saturday 29 April. Sir Hugo said he was 'honoured and delighted' to have been re-selected.

East Devon’s MP, Sir Hugo Swire, has said he is ‘absolutely delighted’ that the Secretary of State for Education has agreed to contribute up to £750K towards the relocation of Tipton St John Primary School to Ottery St Mary.
