The new Health Minister Matt Hancock paid a visit to the recently opened Budleigh Hub, a centre for the community to have their minor health issues sorted out, to keep fit in the gym and to visit friends and and remain part of the local scene. The Hub is a new project, a trail blazer that may well be rolled out across the whole Country and Matt wanted to see for himself how the project was working out. He spent considerable time going round every department, talking to people and getting a feel for how it was viewed by the people using the Hub.
The Hub used to be a local cottage hospital and was scheduled for closure, but the community was outraged and the local Doctors set to and got the new scheme off the ground. Now it is heading for success and Matt seemed to be impressed by the effort and the popularity of the new facility
